How it works

  • The Sassy Shrink is an online therapy service for women who live in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and online coaching for women from anywhere in the world. The goal is to help women address anxiety, boost confidence, and bust shame.

  • The Sassy Shrink is for any woman who is seeking to improve her mental health and well-being in these 3 areas: anxiety, confidence/self esteem and grief/loss. These concerns can show up in relationships, in work and at home.

    I can help you identify anxiety in all areas of life, help you build confidence and comfort in your own head and body, and support you in navigating tremendous loss.

    I can teach you to use coping skills to manage life’s ups and downs and develop a more positive outlook on life and your sense of control.

    You must be 18 or older.

  • While we know that therapy and coaching can be very beneficial for children and adolescents, we work solely with women ages 18 and over.

  • The Sassy Shrink offers a variety of services, including individual online therapy, and online coaching. We also provide a range of resources, such as articles and blog posts, to help you on your journey to wellness.

  • The free consultation is a 15-minute call with Jaclyn, our founder. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, learn more about our services, and determine if The Sassy Shrink is right for you.

  • The Sassy Shrink is for online therapy in Pennsylvania + New Jersey.

    Online coaching services are available anywhere.

  • The main difference between therapy and coaching is that therapy focuses on healing past wounds, while coaching focuses on developing future goals. However, both approaches can be beneficial for overall mental health and well-being.

  • We take your privacy and confidentiality very seriously. All of our online sessions are conducted through a secure platform that is HIPAA compliant.

    This means that your information is protected and will not be shared without your consent.

    1. Book a free consultation.

      This involves a brief conversation about your current stress, what kind of support you need, and assessing for connection. If we are the right fit for one another, we’ll know it quickly in how we spitball your concerns into actionable steps.

    2. Complete the paperwork and schedule your first session.

      Read, review and sign the consent forms in Simple Practice. Once completed, you can schedule your first session with me (Jaclyn) right in Simple Practice.

    3. Start working towards your goals.

      Show up for your first session and begin developing that connection with me. Receive ongoing support via secure messaging and live video sessions from the comfort of your chosen safe space.

  • Our rate is $175 per session. I believe that this is a fair price given the quality of services and the value they provide. Check out the package options to learn how to save 20% on ongoing therapy and coaching services.

    I also offer 30 minute Sassy pep talks. If you’re on budget and also need a quick convo to boost morale, address an anxiety flare up, or receive validation, this discounted service is perfect for you. See pricing

  • We are considered out of network so we do not contract directly with any insurance panels. We have created a great resource page that tells you how to learn more about out of network coverage and our boundary on insurance support.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.

    If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full session fee.

Online therapy

  • Online therapy is a type of counseling that is provided via the internet. It can be done through video conferencing, phone calls, or instant messaging. It is a convenient way to get counseling when you are not able to meet with a therapist in person.

  • There are many benefits to online therapy. It is convenient and can be done from the comfort of your own home. It is also a great way to get counseling if you have a busy schedule or live in a rural area.

    Quality therapy and coaching services are a luxury, and many don’t have access due to finances, lack of support, transportation, the list goes on. Online services work to address some barriers and provide care to those who otherwise wouldn’t receive.

  • You should expect to receive the same level of care and professionalism from online therapy as you would from in-person therapy.

    You are responsible for creating an ideal comfortable and safe place on your end while you can expect my background often to change, always in a quiet and safe space with full attention on you.

    You can anticipate humor and sass, kindness and compassion, appropriate challenge and cheering on when working with me. I approach my relationships with clients with authenticity, jokes and directness, curiosity and care.

Online coaching

  • Online coaching is solution focused in that it is focused on helping you achieve your goals. It can be used to help you improve your productivity, performance, or relationships.

    It is a convenient way to get coaching when you are not able to meet with a coach in person, receiving in a specific way the same quality cheering on, appropriate challenge and checking in.

    As your coach, you can expect me to be your accountability partner, to approach pit falls without shame and successes with true excitement.

  • Online coaching can be a more flexible and affordable option than traditional in-person coaching. It can also be more convenient since you can meet with your coach from anywhere.

    Picture me in your computer or cell phone while you’re attending a conference outside your home state.

    Imagine knowing you can meet with me while on the plane to California because you have strong Wifi. Online coaching allows for access across the world no matter the time zone or difference!

  • I have met various coaches in various areas including financial, nutrition, career, health and wellness, performance and productivity, relationship and love, etc.

    Coaching online is for you if you are ready to act on your dreams, to listen and trust your chosen coach, and to commit to your future self.

  • The Sassy Shrink is a quality and capable licensed professional in the field of psychology. My full bio is available and demonstrates years of experience in various sectors of the mental health field.

    I hold several certifications which speak to my chosen specialties including anxiety, confidence and grief.

    If you identify as a nervous person, are struggling with managing loss, are stuck and confused in a lack of confidence and strong self doubt, I may be the right support for you.

    Sassy philosophy is all about addressing common pain points in women and supporting self development, growth and love.

  • You should expect to receive the same level of care and professionalism from online coaching as you would from in-person coaching.

    You are responsible for creating an ideal comfortable place to work on your end (consider the space you need, room to move, sound control, etc) while you can expect my background often to change, always in a quiet and safe space with full attention on you.

    You can anticipate humor and sass, kindness and compassion, appropriate challenge and cheering on when working with me. I approach my relationships with clients with authenticity, jokes and directness, curiosity and care.

    In this working relationship, you can expect collaboration and structuring, little hand holding and much pushing/pulling, goal setting and tracking. I will invest in your goals the way you do, as we are now a team on your wellness journey.

  • You can expect to feel heard, seen, and understood. We will provide you with honest feedback, while also respecting your autonomy. You can expect to laugh, cry, and maybe even curse a little bit.

    We will give you homework (yes, really!) and hold you accountable. And most importantly, you can expect to make real progress in your life.
